There are some visitors who claim to have seen “the ghost of Lucky Baldwin,” the original purchaser of the area. Cal Phil’s Festival on the Green at the Arboretum – 5 stars – See reviews on Yelp! Bring your own blankets/lawn seats to enjoy the summer evenings while listening to a live orchestra. You can always rent a lawn seat when you get there to avoid the hassle of bringing your own. They do allow food, so I encourage you to buy a picnic variety basket from Whole Foods in the Deli section and a nice bottle of wine to enjoy with your date/s. They do have a dining options where you can pre-order meals from Bristol Farms, Dog Haus, Kings Row Gastropub, Robin’s Wood Fire BBQ, and the Philharmonic Fountain, two weeks to twenty-four hours prior to your concert date.
