Day 224 of 365 Things To Do in Pasadena invites you to take the Pasadena Heritage City Highlights Bus Tour!
The mission of Pasadena Heritage is to identify, preserve and protect the historic, architectural, and cultural resources of the City of Pasadena through advocacy, education, and oral histories.

They are one of the largest and oldest preservation groups in Southern California. With just over 2,000 members they are one of the city’s largest membership groups and the second largest in the state of California!
Pasadena Heritage City Highlights Bus Tours will take place Thursday, December 30th, 2010.
One tour bus will depart at 10:30 a.m. the other will depart at 1:30 p.m.
On each excursion you will take a two hour bus ride through the fabulous City of Roses! You’ll learn how Pasadena transformed from the Indiana Colony, into one of the most exciting and bustling winter retreats for the wealthy in the 1920’s.
You will visit the Arroyo Seco, The Rose Bowl Stadium, and you’ll cruise through Colorado Boulevard, the most popular boulevard in all of Pasadena, as you tour Old Pasadena.
Explore the city’s original downtown and marvel at the beauty of the historic structures and buildings. You’ll also see models for the city’s revitalization plans.
Your journey will also take you through architecturally significant neighborhoods, where you’ll see Mediterranean, Victorian, and Craftsman inspired homes. Your tour will also take you along the Gamble House, built by famous brothers Charles & Henry Greene in 1908, this home represents an exceptional example of American Arts & Crafts style architecture.
This tour will be sure to bring a whole new light the city you know and love.
