Day 63: Movie Night at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center

Looking for a way to beat the heat wave this weekend?


Day 63 of 365 Things to do in Pasadena™ sends us splashing away at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center!

This Saturday, July 17th the Aquatics Center will be hosting their Free Family Movie Night featuring Columbia Picture’s Cloudy with a chance of  Meat Balls.

This heart warming film is sure to bring a smile to everyone in the family, and splashing around the pool will only add to the enjoyment!

Recreational swim will be held from from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. the fee for recreational swim at this time is $2 for adults and $1 dollar for children. Please be aware children under the age of 8 must have one adult per child present.

Recreational swim after 7:30 p.m. is FREE! The movie will begin at 8:15 p.m. movie admission is also FREE!

The film will be shown on a big screen and you may view the movie poolside or from the deck.

There will be water noodles provided as flotation devices, and for those ambitious swimmers in the family – a swim test is required to be allowed in the deeper water.

A concession stand will be on site and you will be able to purchase food, drinks and yummy movie snacks. Which is great, because this film is sure to have you craving all your favorite treats!  All proceeds will go toward sponsoring the Aquatics Centers Dryland Fitness Program. No outside food or beverages will be allowed.Entry is first come first come, no advanced reservations will be taken.

With our first real taste of  Pasadena summer temperatures this week, the pool is sounding like the best place to be right now! It will be absolutely refreshing after a day of cruising down Colorado Blvd.  in Old Town Pasadena.
