Pie ‘n Burger was first introduced to Pasadena in 1963 on California Boulevard where it still remains today.  The recipes, products, and methods of this delicious tasting food is the same as it was 47 years ago!

Michael Osborn, the current owner of Pie ‘n Burger, began eating there when he was 9 years old – right after it opened in 1963!  During summers,  Michael visited his grandmother in Arcadia.  While he was there, he had a job in Pasadena that was not far away from the diner.  He loved the burgers and strawberry pie.  When he was in college, he got a job at Pie ‘n Burger in 1972, and has worked there ever since!

The restaurant has kept a lot of its traditional food, but has also added a few items to keep up with new times.  They added a vegetarian burger and fresh fruit and cereal for breakfast.  The swivel stools, 60’s vibe, and longtime waitresses and cooks are what makes Pie ‘N Burger so unique.

There is one waitress who has worked at Pie ‘n Burger ever since it opened!  And, one baker who has worked there since 1971!

I have been there with my family for breakfast many times, and each time we have had a mouthwatering experience!  The portions are very large so splitting is highly recommended.

All in all, Pie ‘n Burger is a place where you can get a good, simple and tasty meal.  The service is good, and the food is fresh and hot!  What more can a customer ask for?
