Pasadena has a lot to offer when it comes to fun and family outings. You can go to the Pasadena Museum of California Art, spend a day shopping on Colorado Blvd, or even spend a night out enjoying the different lounges which it has. Pasadena has also been known for many years as the host to the famous Rose Parade which takes place on Jan 1st of every year. With all that it already has going on, is it possible that Pasadena is now creating a new tradition to add on to the list of events?
This coming June, Pasadena will be host to another event which is slowly but surely becoming a tradition. It might not have the same number of years under its belt as the Rose Parade has, but it is now an annual festivity which is becoming more known. On June 29th 2013, Pasadena will be celebrating the 4th Annual LA Street Food Fest which will take place at the Rose Bowl. This is a full days’ event where you can hang around and get to savor foods from 85+ different local vendors. The variety starts from Gourmet Food trucks, to Local Loncheras, Street Carts, Restaurants, Wine Tasting, Tequila Tasting and the list goes on! Of course with all this food, there has to be an assortment of beverages to go with it. LA Street Food Fest not only offers cool drinks for everyone to enjoy, but they also have 2 Beer Gardens and 4 different bars which will be serving all types of cocktails. The vendors that participate are mainly local vendors which already have a reputation among the residents of Pasadena.
The LA Street Food Fest was founded by 2 women whose main aim was to establish a sense of community and give exposure to smaller businesses. Not only does this event allow businesses to get their names out, but it will also benefit a local charity. This is an amazing way to bring a growing community together and celebrate the diversity and culture that floods Pasadena. Besides the cause for which LA Street Food Fest stands for, the food, drinks, music etc., this is a good way to spend a summer afternoon of fun with family and friends. Overall, this is definitely a new tradition in the making and sure deserves a mention on 365 Things To Do In Passadena®.
