Day 80 of 365 Things To Do In Pasadena™ brings us to La Estrella where folks claim you can get the best tacos in town.  We’ve had many suggestions from our faithful 365 Things fans to feature this authentic, inexpensive Mexican treat!

La Estrella is a stationary taco truck that serves an affordable variety of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, and drinks (you can even order a horchata!).

This place, being a fast food type joint, has only outside seating with a few cement tables.

BEWARE: They only accept CASH.  If you forget, it’s okay though… because they conveniently have a ATM machine right by the place. 🙂

The carne asada, lengua, and fish tacos seem to be the top choices that keep people coming back for more!

Not only does the food taste authentic and fresh, it also is cheap.  Tacos cost $1.10 each, except for their specialty fish tacos that cost $3.00, and sodas are $1.00.  You can easily buy a meal here for less than $5 and be satisfied by the wonderful flavors!

Their service is said to be decent, but not spectacular.  Lots of people have reported that they serve food super fast, which is good for us hungry folks!

Overall, this food truck fulfills a lot of expectations from its tender marinated meats, to its salsa, to its generous portions!

Make a drive out to this taco truck in Pasadena for some good, solid Mexican food.

A recent Yelp reviewer described La Estrella in one sentence: “You definitely will leave happy, without having to dig deep in your pockets.”  What more can anyone ask for?
