There is really nothing better than being able to drive up to the elegant and classic Langham Hotel and immerse yourself in a true retreat, if only for a few hours.  And, it’s a true getaway when I visit The Huntington Spa.

The spa has recently been renovated and now features a state of the art fitness center, 13 treatment rooms (including a couple’s room), sauna, steam room, whirlpool and a beauty salon.  Along with their famous massages and facials, they are now featuring treatments based on Traditional Chinese Medicine – Chuan Body and Soul Treatments.

Fatigued from a long air plane trip?  No problem… just get a Flight Recovery Chuan Treatment which combats jet-lag and mental exhaustion and promises to restore balance to your senses with an Herbal Salt Scrub to reveal a glowing complexion and a therapeutic Chuan Harmony Massage which slowly relieves exhaustion, stress, muscle aches and tension.  This escape is completed with a foot massage!

A full menu of services is offered on their site.  Massages include their signature Swedish, as well as the Hot Stone Therapy massage (love that one!) and start at $130 for 60 minutes.  Of course, if you’re looking for Deep Tissue or Aromatherapy, even a Maternity Massage is available.

A variety of facials, peels, cleansings and microdermabrasion treatments are offered along with manicure/pedicure and Caviar Deep Conditioning Hair treatments.
