2015 Open House at JPL

2015 Open House at JPL

Jet Propulsion Laboratory, JPL, is dedicated to the robotic exploration of space and is managed for NASA by California Institute of Technology, CalTech. They are responsible for many space missions such as the Mars rover, currently searching for signs of life on the Red Planet and Juno exploring the planet Jupiter. This weekend, Oct 10 and 11, you’ll get a chance to explore the facilities, as JPL’s annual open house will take place.

Be inspired and have fun seeing where the spacecrafts are being built and where all the communication with the missions take place. Movies about the missions, will also be shown throughout the day.

JPL is encouraging visitors to arrive early and be patient as this event attracts 20,000 people a day. If you do get lost and need a helping hand, look for their staff wearing JPL-CalTech bright red T-shirts with name tags. Here are some more things to think about when visiting. Don’t miss this awesome family event…you’ll have so much fun!
