What originally attracted you to this home?
The proximity to Lake Street and Old Town Pasadena provides easy access to shopping and dining. On the main floor, the home has high ceilings and an open floor plan, perfect for entertaining. The oversized garage has plenty of room for storage.   Being located on the interior of the complex, it’s very quiet. The neighbors are friendly and the complex is kept neat and clean.

What do you like about the neighborhood?
The neighborhood has a great mix of people, from students to seniors. You’re ideally situated between the Lake Ave District and Old Town Pasadena. There is a lot to do, from great shopping and fine dining, and everything in-between. The movie theatre and playhouse are within walking distance, which means you don’t have to pay for parking!   You get to experience the Rose Bowl Parade within a few blocks of home, and during the summer there are plenty of free outdoor movie nights and concerts at the various parks and plazas. Pasadena also has the best light rail service of all. Trains run approximately every 7 minutes to Downtown LA. You can be in the heart of downtown in 20 minutes to catch the latest show at the Disney Concert Hall, or Ahmanson, all without having to deal with LA traffic. The Rose Bowl stadium also host many events, and the park around the stadium is one of the best in all of LA, complete with running and bike tracks, swimming pool, golf course, football, soccer and baseball fields, and not to be forgotten – the kids space.

Where do you shop?
Lake Avenue shopping district, Old Town Pasadena, South Pasadena

Are there any special neighborhood specific events?
Pasadena is home to the world famous Rose Bowl Parade, the annual Chalk Art Festival, and numerous free outdoor movie nights and concerts. On July 4th, the Rose Bowl hosts LA’s largest firework display.

Which park do you go to?
Brookside Park at the Rose Bowl is a favorite. Hiking Mt. Lowe and Mt. Wilson is basically in your backyard.

Any special hiking or outside activities that are close to your home?
Mt Lowe hiking trail is a 10 min away by car.

Any recommended restaurants in the area and what do you love about them?
Too many to mention; Magnolia House, Union, Green Street Tavern, Racion, Malbec, Urban Plates, Counter Burger, Umami, Akbar, Blaze Pizza, Pie Hole, Bengees Ice Cream, Cool Haus Ice Cream, Afters Ice Cream, and the list goes on….. the ones mentioned here are all great!

Anything else that you’d like the buyers to know?
I’ve enjoyed the home very much and if I weren’t moving out of the area I would not be selling!   It’s a great home in a very nice neighborhood. Pasadena is walk-able, bike friendly, has lots of trees and is very green, is close to the mountains, has a college town vibe, and is sophisticated yet friendly.
