Can’t make ArtNight this Friday? Don’t sweat it! The 10th annual Pasadena ARTWalk will take place the following day at the Play House District. This eclectic area evolved in the 1920s and surrounds The Play House, the official state theater in California established in 1917. Many of the original buildings from that era, are still in place and a large portion of the District is in the National Register of Historic Places.
During the ARTWalk, museums & local shops will be showcasing work from local artists. You’ll get a chance to enjoy paintings, photography, sculptures, jewelry and much more. Join the thousands of visitors of all ages, and merge yourself in the art world. There will also be music, so make sure to swing by the El Molino stage for the live performance of Sweet Note Quartet.
Want stretch your own art skills? This is your chance to try canvas painting or better yet, crafting Halloween decor with recycled material and printmaking. Your imagination is the limit.
Once you’ve challenged yourself enough, take the self-guided tour to learn more about the history and beauty of The Play House District. Also, don’t miss the scavenger hunt. Just follow The Playhouse district on Instagram and keep your eye on the price 🙂
Most of the exhibitions are for free. Food will be available for purchase and there are special offers at some of the restaurants, just show your ARTWalk sticker or program. Clear your Saturday, head out there, and experience Pasadena’s greatest urban fair!
