YES to…Blueberries!

YES to…Blueberries!

Besides some really nice people living in Pasadena, you can discover some great people doing business here. Here’s just one case…

A new friend, upon accepting my offer of a free big avocado, soon thereafter offered me a free package of Yes-to Blueberries “Age Refresh Cleansing Facial Wipes.”

The company, Yes to, describes this product as,  “cleansing Facial Wipes…formulated with Blueberries and Coconut to gently cleanse, remove makeup, and moisturize skin all in one.  With Lemon Peel and Apple to help brighten skin, these are a great addition to our Age Refresh collection. They leave your skin feeling clean, youthful, and glowy!”

My new friend, working for Yes to, a natural beauty products company previously located in San Francisco but now based here in Pasadena, assured me these were so good that even he started using these wipes!  That, and the fact handy cleansing wipes are something I can and have used convinced me to accept and try their product.

I told this person that if I liked their product I would want to write a “review” to share my “good news”, although I doubted it due to lack of time and no compensation for the hours it typically takes for me to write.  Nevertheless, I don’t have much time, and this isn’t really a review, but here simply is my first impression after using these “Yes to” handy wipes.

Psst…Get ready for some serious compliments. (I’m just sayin’):

Package:  attractive.   I like holding it. It feels like it was made to be held in addition to its main use to clean!  There’ s a tiny “front door” you unlock to easily pull out a wipe.  No need to tear open the package. You don’t want to do that anyway.  The design is more convenient and secure.

Size:  about the size, maybe a bit larger, than the freebie wipes you get at say a restaurant. However, unlike those paper thin wipes, these are thicker.  I estimate 3 times the thickness, which along with the width, offered me plenty of cleaning per wipe before it might fall apart.  Excellent!

Ingredients: about half the ingredients read as “natural” to me: Blueberry Fruit Extract,  Citrus Limon Peel Extract, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, Sweet Almond  Oil, etc.  Some are even organic.  The other half are things you can often see in “unnatural” products.

Scent:  more of a natural, delicate, less chemically, smell than other handy wipes I’ve used.  However, I can’t really say my nose smelled blueberries.  The ingredients combined with the thickness of the wipe lead to a wipe that feels more substantial and moist, loaded with natural cleansing power.

Plus, after cleaning your face you can still use the wipes to clean something else and they won’t be easily “falling apart” into pieces!

And what about price you ask?  At Target you’ll pay about $6 for 25/30 wipes.  They can also be found at Whole Foods and CVS, among other stores. Another option is ordering online directly from the company.  If you were to buy a box of the common “freebie” type of wipes it would probably cost you $3 – $4.  In my opinion, paying the extra cost is worth it.

This writers verdict?  I love them! The best wipes I’ve used – worth the extra cost for the extra quality of the product.  It looks and feels like a quality product.   A plus is that you can use them for more than advertised (face), in my opinion, and they won’t be easily disintegrating.  And, the residue is so slight it quickly evaporates without the need for rinsing or drying!  Still, I suspect just using the common, cheaper wipe, which is often free at places like restaurants will be a real option for many.  Ok, I wish I could say more but time is tight at the moment. RECOMMENDED!

The Blueberries facial wipes are the only Yes-To product I’ve used.  From my visit to their website and to Target, I discovered they carry many other attractive, “natural” products (for face, baby, lips, body, and hair) most of which I would love to also check out!   Your visit will probably conclude the same.  But for me, alas, this new year has been a very tight budget year, so don’t expect any other Yes-to product “reviews” from me.  I think you’re now on your own…

Yes-to had as their goal “to shake up the world and create a super-natural beauty line, made with fruits and veggies (yumm . . . ) that works, is guilt-free (no more breaking the bank!) and free of all the nasties (ahhh. . . so clean).”  I think they’re on their way.  Glad they’re now shaking up the world from Pasadena!

That’s It! Stay Thirsty My Friends
