Soccer fans rejoice! FC Barcelona is flying in all the way from Spain to play a match at our very own Rose Bowl Stadium! They will be taking on the LA Galaxy in one of the first few matches of the International Championship Cup. This cup is filled with friendly matches between teams from all over the world, playing in countries like China, Australia, and of course the United States!
If you are not familiar with FC Barcelona, here is what you need to know. Last season, in the Spanish Premier Division, Barcelona took the title beating Real Madrid by 2 points. Some superstars on the Barcelona lineup include Lionel Messi of Argentina, Luis Suarez of Uruguay, and Neymar Jr. of Brazil. Soccer critics around the world are calling this trio unstoppable.
We don’t get many opportunities to watch international soccer, let alone an event right in our backyard. Bring out your family and friends, enjoy some good food and drinks, and enjoy an intense match between two totally different teams right here in Pasadena!
