Fireworks Galore!

Fireworks Galore!

fireworks Pasadena ViewsDon’t have plans for the 4th of July this weekend?  Want to see some beautiful fireworks?  The Pasadena area is no stranger to celebrating the national holiday with big bangs and pretty sights, in fact we have two different displays- one in Pasadena at the Rose bowl and one in San Marino at Lacy Park.

If you have been to the Rose Bowl on Independence Day you would know just how extravagant the fireworks can get.  Well if you did not think they could get any better, Organizers of the event are promising the largest fireworks event in Southern California history.  According to one of the producers of the event, more than a ton of explosives will be used in thousands of special effects fireworks for the 88th annual edition of Americafest at the Rose Bowl.  It is definitely suggested you bring your ear plugs if you plan on attending.  The show will also feauture motorcycle stunts and musical performances by the Mariachi Divas, the 17-year-old Belgian teen pop idol Ian Thomas and the Liverpool Legends, a Beatles tribute band selected by Louise Harrison, the sister of the late George Harrison.  There will also be a festival with food and fun things to do for the family in the Rose Bowl parking lot at 2:00PM!

p.s. If you just want to see fireworks, the Colorado Bridge is the place to be, grab some chairs and make sure to get there by 9PM, the view is gorgeous!

If you live closer to the San Marino area, Lacy Park is the place to be!  The City of San Marino hosts this spectacular 4th of July event annually, and its always a fun place to be for the festivities.  Different vendors set up booths all around the park so you can eat some tasty food and enjoy the fireworks in beautiful Lacy Park.  If you are planning on coming to this, it is highly suggested you find a spot to set up your blankets and chairs as early as possible.  There is always a line in the morning waiting to get the best spot!
