Past Rose Parade Band and Floats

Have you ever wondered where the famous Pasadena Rose Parade starts and ends? Well, this is your chance to join a great group of people and explore the Rose Parade route just a few weeks before it’s prepared for the many awe-inspiring floats and cheering audience. This Sunday December 14th, the Walkie-Talkies invite you to join them on a fun and adventurous route through Pasadena.

The Walkie-Talkies
Dr. Seth Mittleman, is a chiropractor from Pasadena and he started the Walkie-Talkies to help people stay healthy and in shape while having a wonderful time. He wanted to make each walk an opportunity to meet new people, be active while also learning about the history of exciting locations in the Los Angeles area. Dr. Seth and his team continuously scout unique locations and be sure that you will experience places that you never knew existed but you might have driven by many times! All are welcome to join and the walks are designed for all fitness levels. By looking at their upcoming events you can read more about the difficulty level of the walk to make sure it fits your personal level. You can join the group by going to their meet-up page

Henninger Flats hikeHenninger Flats
I joined the Walkie-Talkies this last Sunday, December 7 on the walk up to Henninger Flats. The group met at 8.30 am and all new walkers were welcomed and introduced. It was a very warm welcome and very instantly did I feel part of the group! Off we went and it was a great workout and the reward at the top was a magnificent view of Altadena and Pasadena. Henninger Flats has a lovely area perfect for picnics and also camping spots.
