Will you be traveling this holiday season?
You are invited to attend Distant Lands Holiday Open House Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
There will be door prizes, home made goodies served with spiced apple cider & coffee, and you will receive a discount on everything you purchase from 6-8 pm.
Maybe you won’t be jetting off this holiday season, but have promised yourself that if you survive till New Years Day you will treat yourself to that much needed vacation in 2011!
I’m hearing that Distant Lands needs to be the first stop on ANY travel itinerary.
Since 1989, Distant Lands has been serving the needs of travelers, whether they are bound for a trekking expedition to Tibet or a relaxing weekend in Santa Barbara. Started by Adrian Kalvinskas, Distant Lands grew out of his love for travel. From an early age, Adrian followed his mother Louanne on her adventures around the globe, from Morocco to Australia, and to many places in between. Drawing on these experiences, Adrian created Distant Lands–A Traveler’s Bookstore, to equip travelers with information and skills to make travel easier and more enjoyable.

Since they opened their doors in 1989, Distant Lands has expanded and is now offering travel luggage, apparel, and accessories on top of the wide array of books, maps, globes and travel guides sold both in store and online.
The store is known for its knowledgeable and friendly staff. They also carry many hard to find books and guides.
I can’t wait to take a trip over to Distant Lands since I have quite a vacation to plan for 2011. I’m looking forward to getting some great travel tips.
