Discover Altadena’s most heart warming hidden treasure!
Day 150 of 365 Things to do in Pasadena sends us to visit Danny’s Farm.
A wonderful and unique farm & petting zoo designed to provide meaningful volunteer and employment opportunities for teenagers and adults with disabilities.
Danny’s Farm is the product of years of dedication and a wish turned into a reality for former L.A. Dodger pitcher Jim Gott and his wife Cathy. In their words “It is a very special place for very special children.”
The Gott’s have 2 sons with autism and have dedicated themselves to bettering the lives of those affected by autism. They see this farm as not only a dream come true for themselves, but also for the thousands of special needs children in the Los Angeles area who will now have the most amazing place to call their own — a place to come and interact with the gentlest of creatures from bunnies to lambs, donkey’s to pot belly pigs, all who are very lucky to call this little ranch their home as all the animals here have been rescued or have special needs themselves.
Danny’s Farm will be hosting a Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, October 23rd from 1-4 p.m.
Admission is $5.00, children under 2 are free.
There will be Petting zoo, farming activities, carriage rides, music, arts and crafts.
