Its gardens consist of plants categorized by their geographical origin. Aside from the botanic gardens, the Arboretum contains the Queen Ann Cottage, which is said to be haunted. There are some visitors who claim to have seen “the ghost of Lucky Baldwin,” the original purchaser of the area. Cal Phil’s Festival on the Green at the Arboretum – 5 stars – See reviews on Yelp! Bring your own blankets/lawn seats to enjoy the summer evenings while listening to a live orchestra. You can always rent a lawn seat when you get there to avoid the hassle of bringing your own. They do allow food, so I encourage you to buy a picnic variety basket from Whole Foods in the Deli section and a nice bottle of wine to enjoy with your date/s. They do have a dining options where you can pre-order meals from Bristol Farms, Dog Haus, Kings Row Gastropub, Robin’s Wood Fire BBQ, and the Philharmonic Fountain, two weeks to twenty-four hours prior to your concert date.
