Cheer on the hometown hero California Chrome as he attempts to be the first horse in over thirty years to win the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing at the 7th Belmont Stakes Day. The viewing party will be held at the exclusive Chandelier Room and welcomes everyone who wants to witness this spectacular event while enjoying a culinary experience prepared by top chefs and mixologists.

The Santa Anita Race Track is considered one of the world’s most prominent racetracks as it boasts it’s beautiful backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains. The racetrack was originally part of the 13,319-acre Rancho Santa Anita, which covered all areas of the cities today known as Arcadia, Monrovia, Pasadena, Sierra Madre and San Marino. In 1935 the first Santa Anita Handicap was run. It was the largest race ever taken place in the U.S. at the time and it had a purse of $100,000. Today Santa Anita Park is also home to popular events such as the Santa Anita Octoberfest and the Santa Anita Food Truck Festival and remains one of the most visited horse race tracks in the U.S.

This Saturday, June 7 between 12 pm – 8 pm you have the chance to be part of a historic event. Read about the top 10 reasons why California Chrome will win the Triple Crown, according to USA today. We especially love no. 10!

“No. 10. Owners Steven Coburn & Perry Martin: Every Triple Crown winner needs some karma and Coburn and Martin certainly have paved the way for themselves. They named their stable Dumb Ass Partners because that is what they were called after they bred to an $8,000 mare. They then turned down a $6 million offer prior to the Kentucky Derby for their horse. Two working stiffs who gave up cash money for a chance at the brass ring? No racing god would be cruel enough to deny them.”

Enjoy the live broadcasting of the race and dining experience at The Chandelier Room, orchestrated by Chef Cristian Page in collaboration with Orsteria Mozza alums Chef Christopher Feldmeier and David Rosoff who will be curating wines. On the mixology table the fabulous Bartender Nathan Oliver (The Vagrancy Project, Harvard & Stone, ink) will be creating his exquisite cocktails!
