Day 66 of Day 65 of 365 Things to do in Pasadena™ takes us to the Pasadena Museum of History for a family fun day!

The Pasadena Museum of History was founded in 1924 by the Pasadena Historical Society, and its purpose became to tell the public about the history of Pasadena and the West San Gabriel Valley.

The museum used to be the Fenyes Estate, until 1970 when they donated the Mansions and Gardens.  Their family legacy still remains.

So, this summertime ice cream social happening TODAY from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM is for people who want to spend time with their families for a day!

The museum encourages you to come with your family, and picnic among the shadows of the beautiful Fenye’s Mansion.  They will provide the dessert for the occasion, which happens to be ice cream served by the area’s favorite: FOSSELMAN’S.  This should satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth!

Then, to take off some of the calories from lunch, you can take a leisurely walk in the Pasadena Museum of History to view the Pasadena Patron exhibition.

Not only will your visit be one full of learning… it will also include special and fun activities including live history performances and live music from the Gilded Ages with Ian Whitcomb and the Bungalow Boys (1:00 PM to 3:00 PM).

The youngsters of the family are invited to try on vintage clothes from the Museum’s wardrobe to see what they might have looked like many years ago!

So spend a day with your family enjoying these fun, FREE activities!  It will be a nice day spent! 🙂
