Yes, we know all about the locations for some Pasadena Tacos.
But sometimes, you just need a break from the taco routine and should indulge in a little something more.
Day 254 of 365 Things To Do in Pasadena sends you off to try one of the yummiest tortas in the city at Totas Mexico.
We had the pleasure of stopping by for a little visit to this quaint and cozy mom-n-pop style restaurant on our Old Town Walking Food Tour.
This was one of the best stops for me! I have such a love for Mexican food.
When we came by for a visit our most gracious host had outside seating lined up for us and we got to sample a delicious torta along with their agua fresca. I’m a huge fan of horchata myself , and it’s rare that I venture outside my comfort zone when it comes to agua fresca, but I’m so glad that I got to sample something new.
I had the carne asada torta with the agua tamarindo. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-S-O 😉
Their Torta is served on a Tolero roll with beans, lettuce, tomato, onions, jalapenos, avocado, mayonnaise and your choice of meat.
Such a great place to stop in for lunch or a casual dinner before you hit Colorado Boulevard for some Old Pasadena fun.
Maybe you aren’t in the mood for a torta, no worries they’ve got you covered from sopes to seafood and just about anything in between.
Hard Shell Tacos
If you happen to be in the Pasadena area and are looking for some tasty Mexican food, give Tortas Mexico a try.
The atmosphere is casual, the service is great, and their prices are very reasonable.
