Day 92: Bird Pick Tea & Herb

Is trying various quality tea leaves and herbs something you like to do?  Then check out Bird Pick Tea & Herb for their amazing selection of tea!

Day 92 of 365 Things To Do in Pasadena brings us to the one of a kind Bird Pick Tea & Herb shop off of Colorado Blvd. in Old Pasadena.

Bird Pick Tea & Herb

When you come to Bird Pick, you can expect knowledgeable, genuine staff that will help you in any way possible…

At Bird Pick Tea & Herb, you buy your tea by the ounce. So, you’re able to try a bunch of different teas and create your own combination!

This place is for tea-enthusiasts and non-tea enthusiasts alike… there is a tea for EVERYONE!

As you walk up to the bar samples are available.  If you ask, the staff will happily brew up any particular tea in the store for you to TRY! You can try as many tea samples as you would like before you make your final decision.  Who doesn’t like mini tastings?

The parking situation is great for Pasadena… there is a parking structure situated right across the street from Bird Pick (90 minute free parking!) and right in the heart of Old Town.

Bird Pick also sells a variety of other items in their store including tea jars, honey, herbal teas, snacks, accessories, and even gift sets!  They provide wonderfully romantic descriptions of the origins and processes of each tea that are prominantly displayed on to the giant glass tea jars… very appealing! 🙂

You can come for the great aroma and relaxing setting, and have a delicious, quenching drink at the same time!

All their teas are made from fresh or dried flowers, leaves, seeds, or roots.  How many places can you think of that have such quality choices?  Oh!  Did I mention they can add boba or lychee to your drink of choice?  That is always a plus for me (mmm!). 😀

Note** They are limited on space.  So, if you don’t find any seating, I suggest you take a stroll in Old Town right around the corner…

So, try out this little shop one of these days.  Invite a friend, have a refreshing herbal drink, and try a natural red velvet cupcake (I heard these are good, but haven’t had a chance to try one yet).  The red velvet cupcakes are made with beets to give them that red color instead of artificial dye.  How cool is that?  And Tiffany’s is just around the corner… wink wink 🙂
