Moon Party anyone?
Day 127 of 365 Things To Do In Pasadena takes us to Paseo Colorado for a Moon Party! A huge thanks to Kathryn Oliveros for providing info on this very cool event! Paseo Colorado is the outdoor shopping mall that hosted the Chalk Festival.
Join Paseo Colorado, Pacific Astronomy and Telescope Show (PATS), and TWAN (The World at Night) photography exhibit for a “Moon Party” at Paseo Colorado on Saturday, September 18 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm in Garfield Promenade.

Enthusiastic astronomers will be on hand with large-scale professional telescopes for the public to view the Moon and Jupiter throughout the evening. There will be live music and activities for the public including a mobile solar system, all FREE of charge.
The TWAN (The World at Night) photography exhibit is a collection of photographs of the world’s landmarks against celestial attractions. It can be viewed at the PATS show at the Pasadena Convention Center on September 18 and 19. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or for ticket information please visit rtmcastronomyexpo.org
In celebration of ArtNight and ArtWeekend in Pasadena, the TWAN exhibit will be open at Paseo Colorado on Upper Fountain Court on Friday, October 8 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm and on Saturday, October 9 from 12noon to 9:00pm and will be FREE to the public.
One of the featured artists will be renown photographer Wally Pacholka who is a three-time “Picture of the Year” winner for Time and Life magazines’ end-of-year photograph editions.
