Looking for a pizza place to stop into while you are in Old Pasadena?

Day 342 of 365 Things To Do in Pasadena suggests you pop in to Bella’s Gourmet Pizza.

When you visit, I highly recommend sampling the Hot Spinach Garlic Cheese Dip.  It is house made and prepared fresh daily.

It also happens to be MAGNIFICENT!!!

Usually, spinach dip is one of our favorite starters to order at any restaurant we visit, so my partner-in-crime and I decided to give Bella’s dip a try.

Of Course after digging in and having a few pieces of the fresh baked garlic bread, I had to remind myself to stop eating and to snap a picture. 🙂

After finishing our delicious appetizer, we placed out order for one of Bella’s Specialty Pies.

We went with the hand tossed B & S – seasoned spinach, crisp bacon, fresh mushrooms, red onions, imported olive oil, topped with mozzarella cheese.

I have to admit I was a little less enthused about my pizza.

Unfortunately, I had 2 issues with my pizza. 1) There was not enough, if any sauce. 2) I was under the impression my spinach would be seasoned and potentially baked into the pizza. It was neither.

I certainly was able to taste the flavors of the ingredients, but it was a little dry for my taste.

Those were my only complaints…

The service was friendly and the ambiance was great.  There is a very casual and homey feeling to the restaurant.

They also have flat screen TVs mounted on the walls featuring what else ladies? SPORTS! 😉

We did enjoy our visit and I would certainly pop in again and try different pizzas and pastas and of course to have more of that amazing Hot Spinach Dip.
