It’s that time again! As we make our plans to carve our holiday turkeys and fill our homes and our hearts with joy for this festive season. Allow me to present to you a few places you can take your family and loved ones to enjoy the beauty and delights that this time of year has to to offer.

If you are going to be out doing your holiday shopping  on what has come to be known as “Black Friday” then be sure that you plan to make a stop in Old Pasadena’s One Colorado Courtyard!

Any one for Carolers and Christmas trees?

Friday November 27th at 6:00 p.m. One Colorado will be hosting their annual Tree Lighting ceremony. The event kicks off the season with the 92nd Rose Queen making one of her first public appearances as the newly appointed Queen.

Also, The big man himself- Santa Claus will be lighting the tree and taking pictures with all the little ones. There will also be a mailbox in the courtyard where the children can drop off their letters to Santa and the “elves” and the Pasadena Senior Center will make sure than each one gets answered on his  personal stationary!

This event also marks the official start of the Charles Cherniss Tournament of Toys. Which will benefit underprivileged children throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

There will be free Trolley rides throughout the district over the weekend, and if you spend $50 or more shopping in the One Colorado District you can bring your receipt to the courtyard and be entered in a drawing to win a $1,000 shopping spree giveaway!
